My not so little shark

Daddy was big on swimming while he was growing up. Here, we can't exactly just jump in the ocean like back home, so we decided swimming lessons were a good idea for our son. Here is a picture of him in the pool. He's been in for a month and our intentions are too keep going for a few more levels until he can swim by himself confidently. Of course we will get girlie started eventually as well.

Birthday Party Fun!

I haven't posted in a long while (sorry family and friends), but there is a good reason for this. The whole family came down with the cough. First Daddy, then little man, then girlie pants. I thought I escaped it, but I was the caboose of the cough train, but here we are 2 weeks later still trying to shake it off and it's getting better.

We had an actual birthday party for little man at a local arcade a week after his actual birthday. We invited a few boys from the neighborhood and church and one of the sisters of the boys came too. There were games and bumper cars and pizza and cupcakes. Hubby was just getting better with the cough, and son was sick and daughter was GETTING sick (see beginning of post) and we almost decided to call it off. But as soon as we told him about what we were planning to do the night before, he kept telling us and himself that he was feeling better. He toughed it out because he REALLY wanted to play with his friends. Positive self talk is a great thing.
